Programming-
Join BRDC Educators as we explore our local natural treasures and all they have to offer. Topics of discovery could include nature journaling, beaver ecology, tree ID, owl prowls, stargazing, birding, native plants, tracks and signs, and any number of natural history topics. The programs are designed to engage both budding and seasoned naturalists while offering a schedule that allows for group activities, solo exploration, downtime, and family bonding.

Saturday, Day 1:
8:30am - 9:00am: Breakfast
9:00am - 12:00pm: Nature Journaling and Introduction to Observation
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm - 1:30pm: Free Time
1:30pm - 4:30pm: Option 1: Beaver Ecology Field Trip in Fairwood Valley, Option 2: Spring Tree ID at Whitetop Mountain
4:30pm - 5:00pm: Reflection and sharing
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Dinner
6:00pm - 7:00pm: Free Time
7:00pm - 8:15pm: Firepit
8:15pm - 9:30pm: Night Hike

Sunday, Day 2:
8:00am - 8:30am: Breakfast
8:30am - 9:00am: Free Time
9:00am - 1:30pm: Naturalist Hike
1:30pm - 2:00pm: Free Time
2:00pm - 4:00pm: Option 1: Birding at Elk Garden, Option 2: Tracks and Signs on BRDC’s Campus
4:00pm - 4:30pm: Reflection and sharing
4:30pm - Check-out

Lodging-
Spend 1-2 nights in the beautifully restored historic schoolhouse where you’ll have access to our natural history library, classroom, dining hall, bunkrooms, and grounds.
